According to Master Tesfatsion, the Cincinnati Bengals have signed Arizona State ILB Vontaze Burfict.
Burfict wound up being going undrafted this year, but the Bengals obviously wasted no time in bringing him in as a free agent. The concerns are seemingly endless regarding this kid as he not only became a liability to the ASU defense, but his character and off-the-field issues make him a pretty big gamble, even as an undrafted free agent. Not only did his production drop last year, but he also displayed propensity to draw personal fouls, which only illustrates the concerns surrounding him.
As crazy as it may seem, Burfict offers very little in terms of talent and ability, so it will be interesting to see what the Bengals can do with him in the coming months.
