โ€œA Couple Of Teamsโ€ Interested In Chiefsโ€™ No. 1 Overall Pick

Chiefs new head coach Andy Reid mentioned on Tuesday that theyโ€™ve been in contract with a few teams regarding their No. 1 overall pick in the upcoming draft.

โ€œTheyโ€™re been a couple of teams that have talked to us,โ€ said Reid, via USA Today. โ€œWeโ€™re going to keep all the options open.โ€

Reid added that theyโ€™re currently considering โ€œabout eight to 10 guysโ€ if they end up keeping the pick.

The overall consensus is that there isnโ€™t any one player who is heads above everyone else in this yearโ€™s draft class, so it would be somewhat surprising to see a team trade up to No. 1 overall given the cost of making such a move. Many expect the Chiefs to select Texas A&M OT Luke Joeckel with the first over pick, now that they parted ways with RT Eric Winston.
