Broncos

There was some thought Broncos DT Shelby Harris would get an eight-figure deal as a free agent last season. That didnโ€™t end up happening and he returned to Denver on a one-year, $3.2 million pact. Harris is set to hit the market again and with the pandemic affecting revenues, itโ€™s not clear if heโ€™ll do any better. But heโ€™s not focused on what he canโ€™t control.

โ€œI donโ€™t care about the market. Iโ€™ve got nothing to do with the market. Thatโ€™s my agentโ€™s job,โ€ Harris said via KUSAโ€™s Mike Klis. โ€œMy job is to go out there and play football, thatโ€™s what I feel like last year you get caught up in listening to too much stuff. Thatโ€™s why we have an agent. Thatโ€™s why we pay our agent. Thatโ€™s their job. My job is to play football.โ€

  • Broncos RB Melvin Gordon will face some contract uncertainty with a possible suspension or restructure this offseason but says he wants to stay in Denver: โ€œHopefully, I did enough for them to want to keep me hereโ€ฆ.There is something special here. Hopefully it works out.โ€ (Troy Renck)
  • Gordon said Broncos QB Drew Lock is going to be the biggest deciding factor for the team moving forward: โ€œWe have a window for this team, and heโ€™s the piece thatโ€™s going to make or break us.โ€ (Aric DiLalla)
