Browns
- Tony Pauline of Pro Sports Network said on 92.3 The Fan that this season will be a “make or break” year for Baker Mayfield and the Browns offensive line.
- Pauline also reports that Iowa OT Tristan Wirfs was the most coveted offensive lineman by the Browns. However, his Combine showing could lead to him being drafted before the Browns are on the clock.
- Pauline mentions that the Browns like Boise State OT Ezra Cleveland and consider the idea of trading back 8-10 spots before selecting him in round one.
Dolphins
- Ian Rapoport reports that the Dolphins and Raiders are two teams to keep an eye on which could trade up for a quarterback in the 2020 NFL Draft.
- For the Dolphins, Rapoport mentions that the Detroit Lions at No. 3 overall could be a suitable trade partner to move up with from their fifth-overall pick to secure a quarterback.
- Lance Zierlein of NFL.com considers the Dolphins and the Lions as the two most likely landing spots for Alabama QB Tua Tagovailoa.
- Zierlein also believes the Chargers and the Panthers are candidates to watch to trade up to draft the Alabama quarterback.
Jets
- Connor Hughes of the Athletic reports that the Jets plan to be active in the free agent market for offensive linemen with Graham Glasgow and Joe Thuney on his target list.
- Hughes says Brandon Scherff would have been on their list, but the Redsins are expected to franchise him if they can’t sign him to an extension.
- Hughes can also see the Jets drafting an offensive tackle at No. 11 overall, but he says they shouldn’t rule out a 3-4 defensive end.
- At cornerback, Hughes reports that the Jets are among the many teams very interested in Panthers CB James Bradberry along with the Redskins and Giants.
- Another area to watch for New York is at pass rusher. According to Hughes, Rams DE Dante Fowler Jr is expected to a Jets’ target and they like Ravens OLB Matthew Judon as well should he be available.
- The same goes for Buccaneers DE Shaq Barrett, but the expectation is that he’ll also be franchised.
- Interestingly enough, Hughes says the Jets are not interested in Seahawks DE Jadeveon Clowney at this point in time.
- Jets WR Robby Anderson could end up securing $13-$15 million per year on the open market, but this is believed to be too high for the Jets. Should his price drop, Hughes could see them offering something around $10 million per year or so.
