Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com reports that the rookie QB Andy Dalton appears to be the teams starting quarterback. Hobson notes thatย Dalton is getting the starter’s reps in camp and is taking most of the first-team snaps in Bengals’ scrimmage.
The Bengals brought in Bruce Gradkowski last week but that move is looking more like it was to fill the teams backupย quarterbackย position rather than adding another player that can compete for the starting job. Gradkowski should be a good mentor for Dalton but it will be interesting to see how fast Dalton is able to get acclimated to the pro game considering that he’s at a disadvantage as far as practice time is concerned.
