Troy Renck of the Denver Post reports that the Bears will be hosting free agent DB/KR Omar Bolden on Wednesday of next week.
- According to Renck, the Bears are considered the “favorites” to sign Bolden to a contract.
Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune previously mentioned that the Bears are exploring options to at kick returner. Bolden is clearly among the best available options and could also provide them with some depth at safety.
Bolden, 27, is a former fourth-round pick of the Broncos back in 2012. He has played out his rookie contract with Denver and is now testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent for the first.
In 2015, Bolden appeared in nine games and recorded five tackles while serving as their kick and punt returner. He accumulated 342 kick return yards and 123 punt return yards with one punt being returned for a touchdown.
