The Chicago Bears announced Monday that they’ve hired Ted Monachino as senior defensive assistant/OLBs coach under new DC Chuck Pagano.

Monachino, 52, began his coaching career in 1991 and took his first college job as TCU as a defensive graduate assistant in 1996. From there, Monachino worked for a number of schools including James Madison, Missouri State, Boise State and Arizona State before the Jaguars hired him as their DL coach in 2006.
Since then, Monachino has worked for the Ravens, Colts, and Missouri. He actually agreed to join Kansas State as their defensive coordinator/LBs coach for the 2019 season before taking this job.
