According to the Chicago Sun-Times, offensive coordinator Mike Tice reportedly told RB Michael Bushย “that he wanted two 1,000-yard running backs” this season.
“He said he wanted to do it,” said Bush, “and I said, โWell, you got the right two people.’ ”
Even with an upgraded passing attack, the Bears still figure to run the ball quite often due to Tice’s offensive philosophy. Bush figures to be the goal-line running back, with RB Matt Forte carrying majority of the workload. While it’s a possibility, it seems like unlikely considering improved weapons that the Bears have this season.
