Bears Sign DT Bruce Gaston Off Packers’ Practice Squad

Adam Jahns of the Chicago Sun-Times reports that the Bears have signed DT Bruce Gaston off of the Packers’ practice squad.

  • According to Jahns, Gaston is expected to play in Sunday’s game against against the Lions.

Gaston, 23, originally signed on with the Cardinals as an undrafted free agent out of Purdue back in May of last year. Since then, he’s had brief stints with the Patriots and Dolphins before the Packers signed him to their active roster towards the end of last season.

Green Bay wound up waiving Gaston a few weeks ago before later adding him to their practice squad.

This season, Gaston has appeared in two games and recorded one tackle.
