The Chicago Bears have officially signed second-round pick TE Cole Kmet to his rookie contract, according to Kevin Fishbain.
Bears seventh-round OT Lachavious Simmons also announced that he’s signed his rookie deal.

Kmet, 21, was a two-year starter at Notre Dame and was selected with the No. 43 overall pick in this year’s draft.
He’s projected to sign a four-year, $7,577,778 rookie contract that includes a $3,071,111 signing bonus.
During his college career at Notre Dame, Kmet appeared in 23 games over the course of three seasons and caught 60 passes for 691 yards receiving and six touchdowns.
