According to Brad Biggs, the Bears brought in four edge rushers for workouts on Tuesday including Shane Ray and Noah Spence.
The full list of players includes:
- OLB Shane Ray
- DE/OLB Noah Spence
- DE Nate Orchard
- OLB Dekoda Watson
Ray, 25, is a former first-round pick of the Broncos back in 2015. He finished his four-year, $9.116 million rookie contract with Denver before signing a one-year, $1.2 million deal with the Ravens as an unrestricted free agent back in May.
Denver placed him on injured reserve coming out of last year’s preseason with a wrist injury and was designated as their player to return. However, Ray landed on the injured reserve a second time in December after re-injuring his wrist. The Broncos declined his fifth-year option last offseason, making Ray an unrestricted free agent in 2019.
He was among the Ravens final roster cuts coming out of the preseason, making his stint in Baltimore short-lived.
In 2018, Ray appeared in 11 games for the Broncos and recorded 10 tackles, a sack and one forced fumble.
Spence, 25, is a former second-round pick of the Buccaneers back in 2016. He was entering the final year of his four-year, $6.03 million contract and set to make a base salary of $1.27 million for the 2019 season when the Buccaneers waived him coming out of the preseason.
Spence recently worked out for the Bills and Redskins but left both teams without a contract.
In 2018, Spence appeared in 12 games for the Buccaneers and recorded three tackles and no sacks.
