According to Tom Pelissero, the Bengals are expected to re-sign kicker/punter Tristan Vizcaino, pending a physical and COVID-19 test.
Pelissero notes that Vizcaino was in camp there last year and he can compete at both kicker and punter this summer.
Vizcaino, 23, wound up going undrafted out of Washington back in 2018. He did not sign on with an NFL team during the 2018 season, but later joined the Bengals on a futures contract last January.
Cincinnati waived Vizcaino coming out of the preseason and he later signed another futures contract, this time with the Cowboys. Unfortunately, he was waived leading up to this year’s draft.
During his four-year college career, Vizcaino converted 12 of 20 field goal attempts (60 percent) and 49 of 52 extra point tries (94.2) over the course of 37 games. He also totaled 2,273 punt yards on 56 attempts (40.6 YPA).
