The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are releasing DE Vinny Curry on Tuesday, according to Rick Stroud.
Curry, 30, is a former second-round pick of the Eagles back in 2012. He signed a five-year, $47.25 million contract that included $23 million guaranteed with the Eagles back in 2016 but was released last year.
The Buccaneers later signed Curry to a three-year deal for up to $27 million in 2018.
According to OverTheCap.com, releasing Curry will free up $8 million of available cap space while creating no dead money.
In 2018, Curry appeared in 12 games for the Buccaneers and recorded 21 tackles and 2.5 sacks. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 85 edge rusher out of 103 qualifying players.
