The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have re-signed RB Mike James to their practice squad on Wednesday after he cleared waivers, according to Greg Auman.

  • To make room for James, the Buccaneers releasedย LB Orie Lemon from the unit.

James, 24, is a former sixth-round pick by the Buccaneers back in 2013. He’s wasย the third year of hisย four-year, $2,263,152 rookie contractย when the Bucs waived him on Tuesday.

In 2014,ย James appeared in 11 games and ran for 37 yards on 19 carries (1.9 YPC) to go along with one reception for minus five yards.

Lemon, 27, originally signed on with the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent out of Oklahoma State back in 2011. He spent close to two years with Dallas before joining the Chiefs and Cardinals in short stints.

Theย Buccaneers wound up signing him off of the Chiefs’ practice squad back in October of last year.ย He was later signedย to their practice squad after they cut him a few weeks ago.

This season, Lemon has appeared in one game for the Buccaneers, but has yet to record a statistic.
