TMZ Sports is reporting that Cardinals DE Darius Philon has been arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after he allegedly threatening to shoot a woman outside a strip club.
According to the police report obtained by TMZ, Philon is accused of pointing a handgun at a dancer in the parking lot of the strip club back on May 17.
The victim told police that Philon requested she and another female companion accompany him out to his vehicle where he kept his money. Philon then grabbed a black handgun and pointed it at the alleged victim’s chest … while saying “which one of you wants a bullet?”
Darius then lowered the before pointing it at another women. The alleged victim told cops she went back into the club and Philon drove off.
The incident reportedly took place in Phoenix with Philon being arrested and taken to jail Friday morning.
Philon, 25, was drafted by the Chargers in the sixth round in 2015 out of Arkansas. He played out the final year of his four-year, $2,400,588 rookie contract with the Chargers that included $120,588 fully guaranteed.
The Cardinals signed him to a two-year, $10 million contract this past March.
In 2018, Philon appeared in all 16 games for the Chargers, recording 33 total tackles, seven tackles for loss, four sacks and one forced fumble. Pro Football Focus had him rated as the No. 72 interior defender out of 112 qualifying players.
