Adam Schefter reports that the Cardinals are scheduled to interview for Dolphins HC Adam Gase for their head coaching vacancy on Wednesday.
The list of reported interviews for the Cardinals includes:
- Chiefs OCย Eric Bieniemy (Requested)
- Rams QBs coach Zac Taylorย (Requested)
- Saints assistant HC/TEs coachย Dan Campbell (Requested)
- Former Dolphins HCย Adam Gase (Scheduled)
This is the first reported interview for Gase since he was fired on Monday. However, reports have said a number of teams with available jobs are expected to have interest in him including the Browns.
The Cardinals are clearly looking for someone to improve their offense and help develop QB Josh Rosen in the coming years. Field Yates notes that many believed Gase was a fan of Rosen coming out of college last year.
Gase, 40, began his NFL coaching career with the Lions back in 2003 as a scouting assistant. He spent five years in Detroit before taking a job with the 49ers for the 2008 season.
The Broncos would later hire Gase as their WRs coach and he worked his way up to offensive coordinator before they replaced their coaching staff in 2015. Gase spent a year with the Bears before the Dolphins hired him as their head coach in 2016.
During his three years as the Dolphins’ head coach, Gase has led Miami to a record of 23-25 (47.9 percent), which includes one playoff appearance.
