Cardinals Sign TE Joseph Fauria, Place TE Ifeanyi Momah On I.R.

Update:

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Cardinals have signedย TEย Joseph Fauriaย to a contract.

  • Rapoport adds that the Cardinals will send TEย Ifeanyi Momahย to season-ending injured reserve followingย theย torn meniscus he sustained.

———-

Former Lions TEย Joseph Fauriaย was at theย Arizona Cardinals’ facility on Wednesday, according to Mike Jurecki of FOX Sports 910.

This comes after Mike Garafolo reported that the Cardinals lost TEย Ifeanyi Momah toย a torn meniscus that will requireย surgery.

Fauria, 25, was unfortunately among the Lions’ final roster cuts this past weekend, as they trimmed their roster down to 53 players.ย Heย worked out for the Giants earlier in the week, but left without a deal.

In 2014,ย Fauriaย appeared in seven games and caught six passes for 74 yards receiving and a touchdown for the Lions.

Momah, 25, originally signed a three-year contract with the Eagles back in 2013. However, he lasted just a few months in Philadelphia before he was placed on waivers.

Momah later signed a future/reserve contract with the Lions before catching on with the Cardinals on a one-year deal

He has yet to appear in an NFL game.

  1. I hope the coach and GM know what they’re doing. Some of these signings and players that were cut leave me scratching my head, especially at QB.
