Michael Gehlken of the San Diego Union-Tribune reports that the Chargers are also working out free agent WR Lance Moore on Tuesday.
The Chargers are reportedly trying out receivers James Jones and Brian Hartline as well, so they’re clearly taking a look at the best available options.
San Diego is obviously wasting no time finding another receiver now that WR Stevie Johnson is likely to undergo surgery for a torn meniscus, and could be out an extended period of time.
Moore, 32, spent the first nine years of his NFL career with the New Orleans Saints before he joined the Steelers as a free agent back in 2014. Unfortunately for Moore, he was released by Pittsburgh in March of last year before later signing a one-year contract with the Lions.
In 2015, Moore caught 29 passes for 337 yards receiving and four touchdowns over the course of 14 games.
