Chargers Re-Sign OT Michael Schofield To Two-Year Deal

The Los Angeles Chargers announced Wednesday that they’ve re-signed OT Michael Schofield to a two-year contract.

Schofield, 27, is a former third-round pick out of Michigan by the Broncos in the 2014 NFL Draft. Denver elected to waive him at the start of the 2017 season and he was later claimed off of waivers by the Chargers.

Schofield played out the final year of a four-year, $2,777,200 rookie contract and made a base salary of $702,000 this season.

In 2017, Schofield appeared in all 15 games for the Chargers and Pro Football Focus rated him as the No. 61 offensive tackle out of 81 qualifying players.
