The San Diego Chargers brought in free agent WRs Chris Givens and Griff Whalen for workouts this week, according to Adam Caplan.
Whalen, 26, signed on with the Colts as an undrafted free agent out of Stanford back in 2012. He spent his enter career in Indianapolis before he was placed on injured reserve and later waived from the listย back in January.
The Dolphins later signed him to a contract this past March only to cut him loose a few weeks ago.
In 2015, Whalen appeared in 14 games for the Colts and caught 19 passes for 205 yards receiving and a touchdown. He also contributed 244 kick return yards and 85 punt return yards for the Colts.
Givens, 26, is a former fourth-round pick of the Rams back in 2012. He spent four years in St. Louis before he was traded to the Ravens for a conditional draft pick back in October of last year.
The Eagles brought him in on aย one-year, $840,000 contractย that includedย $180,000 guaranteed. However, he was among their early roster cuts a few weeks ago.
In 2015,ย Givens appeared in 15 games and recorded 20 receptions for 353 yards receiving and a single touchdown to go along with four rushing attempts for 18 yards.
