Vikings quarterback Christian Ponder may have found his new favorite target. According to Dan Wiederer of the Minneapolis Star Tribune, Vikings tight end Kyle Rudolph could see a number of passes his way this season.
“Christian Ponder looks for Kyle Rudolph a lot. Rudolph has big hands, long arms and added confidence,” writes Wiederer. “Don’t be surprised if he leads the team in targets this season.”
Ponder and Rudolph are looking to improve on their rookie season’s a year ago. While it may be a stretch to think Rudolph could lead the team in targets with Percy Harvin being the team’s number one option in the passing game, he could make the Vikings passing attack a little more dynamic.
