Colts Re-Sign ERFA LS Luke Rhodes

The Indianapolis Colts announced Monday that LS Luke Rhodes has signed his exclusive rights tender for the 2018 season.

Rhodes previously played linebacker for the Colts before transitioning to long snapper last season.

Rhodes, 25, wound up signing on with the Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent out of William & Mary. He was in the first of his three-year, $1.62 million contract and set to make a base salary of $450,000 for the 2016 season when he was cut loose coming out of the preseason.

The Colts later signed him to their practice squad before eventually promoting him to their active roster.

In 2017, Rhodes appeared in all 16 games for the Colts, but did not record a tackle.

During his four-year college career, Rhodes recorded 341 tackles, 20 tackles for a loss, six forced fumbles, two recoveries, five sacks, an interception and 19 pass defenses.
