According to Lindsey Thiry, the Cowboys will hire former Rams RB coach Skip Peete to the same position in Dallas.
Peete goes from riches to riches, swapping out Rams RB Todd Gurley for Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott.
Peete’s brother happens to be former NFL QB Rodney Peete.
Peete, 56, got his start in coaching as a graduate assistant at Pittsburgh in 1988. After stops at Michigan State, Rutgers and UCLA, Peete made the jump to the NFL as a RB coach for the Raiders in 1998.
Peete had a stint with the Cowboys has RB coach from 2007 to 2012. He was with the Bears for a couple of seasons before joining the Rams in 2016.
