Cowboys Rookie CB Morris Claiborne Suffers Minor Injury

ESPNโ€™s Ed Werder reports that Dallas Cowboys first-round pick CB Morris Claiborne, who has gotten very few practice reps with the team as a result of wrist surgery, has been diagnosed with a minor MCL knee sprain this morning.

The former LSU Tiger is expected to miss just a few practices, but with this recent injury itโ€™s very likely that the Cowboys will not allow him to participate in the preseason opener against the Raiders in fear of aggravating it further. Claiborne is expected to be a huge weapon in their secondary this season, but the decision to hold onto Mike Jenkins looks much better at this point in time.
