Christina Phillips, the agent for RB Phillip Tanner, announced Wednesday that her client has signed with the Dallas Cowboys.

Tanner, 25, signed with the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent out of Middle Tennessee State back in 2011, so they are obviously familiar with him as a player.
He was most recently with the Colts, but was cut loose a week ago. It appeared as though Tanner had an outside shot to make the team, but the Colts’ front office apparently preferred their other options.
Tanner appeared in 39 regular season games over the course of his three-year NFL career and has totaled 149 yards rushing on 56 carries (2.7 YPC) and two touchdowns.
