According to David Moore, Cowboys undrafted rookie WR Stephen Guidry has decided to opt out of the 2020 season.
Guidry is the second Dallas player to make that decision, joining CB Maurice Canady who signed with the team in free agency.
Todd Archer reports Guidry is not eligible for the $150,000 salary advance for voluntary opt outs. Instead, he can keep his $10,000 signing bonus and will be placed on Dallas’ reserve/voluntary opt-out list.
All players who opt out will have their contracts toll to 2021.
Guidry, 6-4 and 200 pounds, signed with the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent out of Mississippi State following the draft this year.
During his two-year college career, Guidry caught 49 passes for 827 yards and eight touchdowns in 23 career games.
