Dolphins Activate LB Jerome Baker From COVID-19 List, Claim CB Picasso Nelson Jr

The Miami Dolphins announced Monday that they’ve claimed CB Picasso Nelson Jr. off of waivers from the Colts.

The Dolphins also activated LB Jerome Baker off the reserve/COVID-19 list and placed RB Malcolm Perry on the list.

The COVID-19 list was created this summer for a player who either tests positive for or who has been quarantined after having been in close contact with an infected person or persons.

Players will remain on the list until they are medically cleared to return.

Baker, 23, is a former third-round pick of the Dolphins back in 2018. He’s currently in the third year of his four-year, $3,809,200 contract and set to make a base salary of $810,000 for the 2020 season.

In 2019, Baker appeared in all 16 games for the Dolphins and recorded 126 tackles, 1.5 sacks, an interception, two forced fumbles and four passes defended.
