Thayer Evans reports that the Miami Dolphins have fired offensive coordinator Bill Lazor following their Week 12 loss to the Jets.
Armando Salguero reports that the Dolphins are promoting quarterbacks coachย coach Zac Taylor to interim offensive coordinator.
Lazor managed to survive the firing of HC Joe Philbin and DC Kevin Coyle. Miami brought in Al Saunders as an offensive consultant, but even that wasn’t able to improve the offensive production.
Removing Lazor mid-season further implies that Miami will completely clean house and start over next year with a new head coach.
