Craig Mish reports that the Miami Dolphins have signed RB Frank Gore to a contract on Thursday.
- According to Pro Football Talk, Gore receives a one-year contract.
Gore previously met with the Lions before they signed LeGarrette Blount. However, Gore will get an opportunity to return to Miami and finish out his NFL career.
Gore, 34, is a former third-round pick of the 49ers back in 2005. He spent 10 seasons in San Francisco before signing a three-year, $12 million contract that included $7.5 million guaranteed with the Colts back in 2015.
Gore played out the final year of his contract and made a base salary of $3.5 million for the 2017 season. He was once again testing the open market as an unrestricted this offseason.
In 2017, Gore appeared in all 16 games for the Colts and rushed for 961 yards on 261 carries (3.7 YPC) to go along with 29 receptions for 245 yards receiving and four total touchdowns. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 17 running back out of 58 qualifying players.
