The Eagles announced on Tuesday they have re-signed QB Nate Sudfeld to a one-year contract.
Sudfeld was Philadelphia’s top backup heading into 2019 before getting injured. He’ll have the chance to compete for the role again.

Sudfeld, 26, is a former sixth-round pick of the Redskins back in 2016. He signed a four-year, $2.47 million contract with Washington but was cut loose coming out of the 2017 preseason.
Sudfeld signed on with Eagles’ practice squad shortly after and was eventually promoted to the active roster. He was able to stay on Philadelphia’s active roster and was able to earn a backup role.
The Eagles re-signed Sudfeld as a restricted free agent last offseason. The second-round tender cost them $3.095 million for the 2019 season.
In 2018, Sudfeld appeared in two games for the Eagles and recorded one completion for 22 yards and a touchdown.
