The Philadelphia Eagles announced Thursday that they’ve signed FBย Andrew Bonnet to a future/reserve contract.
Bonnet becomes the 12th player to sign a futures deal with the Eagles since their season ended. The full list includes:

Future/reserve contracts are essentially an opportunity for players compete for a roster spot in offseason workouts and during training camp.
Bonnet, 24, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Panthers as an undrafted free agent out of North Dakota State back in May. He was cut loose just a few weeks later before signing on with the Bengals.
Unfortunately, Bonnet was cut loose coming out of the preseason before later signing on to the Eagles’ practice squad for a little over a month.
During his college career, Bonnet rushed for 38 yards on eight carries while catching 56 passes for 574 yards receiving and eight total touchdowns.
