According to Mike Garafolo, the Falcons are releasing OT Ty Sambrailo ahead of the new league year as well.
Atlanta confirmed the move as they continue to slash salary. The team also plans to release CB Desmond Trufant and RB Devonta Freeman as it works to clear cap space.

Sambrailo had just signed a three-year extension with Atlanta last year. Per Over The Cap, releasing Sambrailo frees up $3.7 million in cap space with $2 million in dead money.
Sambrailo, 28, is a former second-round pick of the Broncos back in 2015. Denver traded him to the Falcons at the start of the 2017 season for a fifth-round pick.
Sambrailo played out the final year of his four-year, $3.9 million rookie contract and was in line to be an unrestricted free agent in 2019 before re-signing with the Falcons on a three-year deal.
In 2019, Sambrailo appeared in 13 games for the Falcons.
