According to former Falcons teammate and CNN correspondent Coy Wire, free-agent K Matt Bryant will try out for the Falcons on Friday.
Bryant was with the Falcons for the past ten years before being released this offseason. Atlanta has not been satisfied with either Giorgio Tavecchio or recently-signed Blair Walsh as replacements.
Bryant said back in February he thinks he can play three more seasons.
Bryant added that he believes he can play another three years.
Bryant, 44, began his NFL career with the Giants back in 2002. He had stints with the Cowboys, Colts, Dolphins and Buccaneers before eventually signing on with the Falcons in 2009.
The Falcons re-signed Bryant last year to a three-year, $10.5 million contract and he was set to make base salaries of $2.45 million and $2.15 million over the next two years when Atlanta released him.
In 2018, Bryant appeared in 13 games for the Falcons and converted 20 of 21 field goal attempts (95.2 percent) to go along with 33 of 35 extra point tries (94.3 percent).
