According to Tom Pelissero, the Giants have claimed former Bengals WR Cody Core and former Jets OT Eric Smith off waivers Sunday.
Core, 25, was drafted by the Bengals in the sixth round of the 2016 draft out of Ole Miss. He signed a four-year $2.46 million contract including a $127,932 signing bonus.
Core will make a base salary of $720,000 for the 2019 season.
In 2018, Core appeared in 14 games for the Bengals, catching 13 passes for 160 yards and one touchdown.
