Giants Expected To Promote WR Ed Eagan To Active Roster

According to James Kratch of NJ.com, the Giants are expected to promote WR Ed Eagan to their active roster on Tuesday.

This should come as no surprise, considering that the Giants lost three(!) receivers for the season on Sunday including Odell Beckham Jr, Brandon Marshall, and Dwayne Harris.

Eagan, 24, is an undrafted free agent out of Northwestern State that originally signed on with the Cowboys back in May of last year. Unfortunately, Dallas waived him during the preseason and he later signed on with the Browns.

Eagan had a brief stint with the Bills before the Giants signed him to a contract in August. Unfortunately, New York cut him loose coming out of the preseason but he was later re-signed to their practice squad.

During his college career, Eagan recorded 175 receptions for 2,229 receiving yards (12.7 YPC) with 13 touchdowns. He also rushed the ball 12 times for 65 rushing yards (5.4 YPC).
