Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News reports that the Giants have spoken to the representatives for Patriots free agent WR Chris Hogan in recent days.
This is the first reported interest in Hogan since the free agent market officially opened.
Hogan, 30, wound up signing on with the 49ers as an undrafted free agent out of back in 2011. He had brief stints with the Giants and Dolphins before signing on with the Bills during the 2012 season.
Buffalo elected to bring Hogan back on exclusive rights deals for the next two seasons before the Patriots signed him away as a restricted free agent in 2016.
Hogan played out the final year of his three-year, $12 million contract and is now in position to be an unrestricted free agent this offseason.
In 2018, Hogan appeared in all 16 games for the Patriots and caught 35 passes for 532 yards receiving and three touchdowns.
We have him featured in our Top 100 Available Free Agents list.
