The New York Giants are hosting free agent OT Mike Remmers for a visit on Thursday and are one of six teams interested in him.
Six teams have reached out about veteran OT Mike Remmers and today he will be visiting the New York Giants. Obviously a great familiarity there with Pat Shurmur, Mike Shula, and Dave Gettleman.

It’s worth mentioning that signing Remmers to a contract won’t impact a team’s 2019 compensatory picks, given that he was released this offseason.
Remmers, 29, originally signed on with the Broncos as an undrafted free agent out of Oregon State back in 2012. He lasted just a few months with the team before signing on to the Buccaneers practice squad a week into the 2012 season.
Since then, Remmers has played for a few teams including the Chargers, Vikings and Rams before he signed to the Panthers’ active roster in 2014.
After a few years in Carolina, Remmers signed a five-year, $30 million deal with the Vikings back in 2017. However, Minnesota elected to release him earlier in the week.
In 2018, Remmers started all 16 games for the Vikings and was ranked by Pro Football Focus as the No. 48 guard out of 77 qualifying players.
