Giants Place WR Kevin Norwood On Injured Reserve

The New York Giants officially placed WR Kevin Norwood on injured reserve after clearing waivers on Tuesday.

Norwood, 27, is a former fourth-round pick of the Seahawks back in 2014. He was traded to the Panthers at the start of last season for a 2017 conditional seventh-round pick after Carolina lost Kelvin Benjamin for the season, due to a torn ACL.

The Panthers placed him on injured reserve coming out of the preseason and eventually waived him. Norwood had a brief stint with the Chargers before signing on to the Giants’ practice squad.

New York elected to bring Norwood back on a future/reserve contract before waiving him with an injury designation on Monday.

In 2015, Norwood was active for just one game but did not catch a single pass.
