Jets Considering Daniel Jeremiah For โ€œProminentโ€ Front Office Job

Adam Schefter reports that NFL Network draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah is under โ€œserious considerationโ€ for a โ€œprominentโ€ from office position with the Jets.

This comes shortly after the news that the Jets have fired GM Mike Maccagnan

A number of reports have connected Eagles VP of player personnel Joe Douglas to the Jets as a likely replacement for Maccagnan.

Schefter mentions that Douglas is close friends with Jeremiah, which is likely why heโ€™s being seriously considered for a potential front office job. Jeremiah and Douglas spent five years together while they were with the Ravens from 2003-07.

Jeremiah, 41, worked for a few teams as an NFL scout including the Ravens, Browns and Eagles. He was hired by the NFL Network in 2012.

Jeremiah actually replaced Mike Mayock as the NFL Networkโ€™s top draft analyst after he was hired by the Raiders as their GM this past January.

Weโ€™ll have more regarding the Jets as the news is available.
