Jets HC Todd Bowles announced Monday that DC Kacy Rodgers has been medically cleared to resume coaching and he will return to his normal duties for Sunday’s game against the Vikings.
Rodgers is dealing with what a “serious” illness and there was some concern that this could be an extended absence for him. However, it appears as though the medical concerns are now behind him.
Rodgers, 49, began his NFL coaching career with the Cowboys as their DTs coach back in 2003. After five years in Dallas, he departed for a job with the Dolphins before joining Todd Bowles in New York as his defensive coordinator for the 2015 season.
