Rand Getlin is reporting that the Jets are bringing in veteran RBย C.J. Spiller for a visit Monday night and will work him out on Tuesday.
This is the second visit for Spiller since he was released by the Saints a few weeks ago. The Packers worked him out but did not sign him to a contract after the session.
Spiller, 29, is a former first-round pick of the Bills back in in 2010. He spent five years in Buffalo before signing a four-year, $16 million contract that included $9 million guaranteed with the Saints.
Spiller was set to make a base salary of $1.7 million for the 2016 season when the Saints cut him loose last Tuesday.
In 2015, Spiller appeared in 13 games for the Saints and ran for 112 yards on 36 carries (3.1 YPC) to go along with 34 receptions for 239 yards receiving and two touchdowns.
