Cardinals quarterbacks John Skelton and Kevin Kolb will be held out of the teams fifth and final preseason game this Thursday, per Kent Somers.
Typically, most of the starters are held from playing in the final preseason game to avoid the risk of injury.ย By benching both quarterbacks, it appears Cardinals head coach Ken Whisenhunt has seen all he needs to see out of the two.
While Skelton hasn’t exactly wowed anyone this preseason, his performance on the field has been better than that of Kolb’s, who has looked dreadful. At this point, it looks to be that Skelton will be the Cardinals starting quarterback week one.
