ESPN Boston has disclosed the details of running back Joseph Addai‘s one-year deal with the New England Patriots.
Addai’s contract consists of a non-guaranteed base salary of $725,000 and a roster bonus of $218,750. He does get a $75,000 signing bonus and $50,000 workout bonus, but Addai’s spot on the roster in 2012 is not yet secured, which is reflected in this contract.
Addai was drafted in the first round in 2006 by the Indianapolis Colts, who he played for until departing this offseason. He is joined by Stevan Ridley, Shane Vereen and Danny Woodhead on the RB depth chart, so there is stiff competition for him.
