Lions Activating RB Kerryon Johnson From Injured Reserve

Field Yates of ESPN reports that the Lions activating RB Kerryon Johnson from injured reserve on Saturday. 

  • The Lions also placed LB Christian Jones on injured reserve and promoted DE Jonathan Wynn to their active roster.

Johnson will be available to suit up for Sunday’s game against the Broncos.

The Lions placed Johnson on injured reserve earlier this season with a knee injury before designating him to return a few weeks ago. 

Johnson, 22, is a former second-round pick of the Lions back in 2018. He’s currently in the second year of his four-year, $6,503,698 rookie contract that included a $2,809,960 signing bonus.

In 2019, Johnson has appeared in six games for the Lions and rushed for 308 yards on 92 carries (3.3 YPC) to go along with nine receptions for 126 yards receiving and three total touchdowns.
