Michael C. Wright of ESPNChicago.com reports that the Chicago Bears will have to wait at least one more week for RB Matt Forte to return to game action.
Forte suffered a Grade 2 MCL strain two weeks ago and is not expected to play this weekend. Even if Forte is able to return for next weeks game against the Packers there’s a chance that he sits out as he’s in a contract year and came very close to blowing out his knee just few a weeks ago. That’s not to say that he doesn’t want to help his team get to the postseason but the Bears front office has refused to come anywhere near his asking price despite the fact that he represents a good majority of the teams offensive production.
