Miami DE Gregory Rousseau announced via his head coach he is opting out of the 2020 college football season and will declare for the 2021 NFL Draft, per Barry Jackson.
Entering just his redshirt sophomore season, Rousseau burst onto the scene last year as a freshman and was projected to be one of the top pass rushers in all of college football.
Listed 6-7 and 265 pounds, Rousseau has freaky size and potential and is a likely first-round pick in next year’s draft.
Daniel Jeremiah compared him to Vikings’ DE Danielle Hunter.
Last year, Rousseau played in 13 games for the Hurricanes and recorded 54 tackles, 15.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, one recovery and one pass defense.
