Report: Michael Vick โ€œDoubtfulโ€ To Play On Sunday

Update:

Jeff McLane reports that a source close to the situation has informed him that Eagles QB Michael Vick is โ€œdoubtfulโ€ to play against the Buccaneers in Week 6.

The Eagles have him officially listed as questionable and some have suggested that he could be a game-time decision.

Vick mentioned that he expects to be back for Week 7, but weโ€™ll have to see how things go next week before knowing whether or not thatโ€™s actually a possibility.

โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€“

Eagles HC Chip Kelly wouldnโ€™t say who will be the teamโ€™s starting quarterback this weekend against the Buccaneers.

Instead, Kelly just said that an announcement will be made at โ€œ12:59โ€ on Sunday, via CSN Philly.

Michael Vick is feeling better after he was forced to leave Week 5โ€™s game with a hamstring injury. Vick has participated in at least some of the teamโ€™s drills at practice for the past two days, but the team is expected to start Nick Foles this weekend.

โ€œI get a feel for Mike that he is improving,โ€ Kelly said. โ€œHe said [Thursday morning] he felt good. I talked to him in the weight room, and he said he felt good, but weโ€™ll see what happens [at practice].โ€

Vick mentioned that he expects to be ready to go for next weekendโ€™s matchup against the Cowboys, per Geoff Mosher.

Thereโ€™s still a chance that Vick could suit up against the Buccaneers this Sunday, but it appears as though heโ€™ll miss one week and look to return in Week 7.

Weโ€™ll have more regarding his status in the coming days.
