Packers
Former Packers QB Brett Favreย said during an interview with “Wilde and Tausch“ that he recently spoke with Aaron Rodgers and they discussed his prior comments about it not being his job to get Rodgers ready to play.
โWe talked about that,โ said Favre, referencing the not-mentoring-Rodgers quote, via Aaron Nagler of PackersNews.com. โHe said, โI get it now. I get what you were saying, or how you carried yourself.โ
โThere is no clause that says โYou groom the next guy whoโs going to take your job, or else.โ It doesnโt work that way.โ
Favre added that they also talked about seeing their friends depart over time.
โYou see a lot of guys come and go,”ย Favre said. “You look around and Iโm the last man standing. Very few guys get to experience that because of the longevity standpoint.โ
- Packers OC Joe Philbin explained that the team’s offense has evolved over the years and is now more multiple than in years past:ย โFootball has evolved even since then. Itโs a little more multiple. Thereโs a little more to it. I think we are a little more multiple formationally than we were then probably. We probably move around more pre-snap maybe than we did back then.โ (PackersNews.com)
