Jason La Canfora reports that Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has made the announcement that Jason Garrett will be returning as the teams head coach. Garrett’s deal is reported to be a four-year deal.
It was clear that Dallas was going to go in this direction, despite the number of enticing head coaching options that existed at one point.
Jones said of the move: “There won’t be a player on the team that Jason does not want on the team.” He added that Garrett will be able to pick his staff.
This is an interesting concession from Jones given that he has ruled over the team’s roster since Bill Parcels left some years ago.
