When discussing the Arizona Cardinals offseason plan you have to start with the quarterback position. Over the weekend ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Cardinals have approached Larry Fitzgerald for his opinion in regards to the teams quarterback position.
While Ken Whisenhunt did confirm that he had spoke with Fitzgerald regarding the situation, he wound up downplaying Larry’s influence on the decision.
โLarry is obviously not making the decisions,โ Whisenhunt told theย Arizona Republic. โThereโs a lot of things that guys want that they donโt necessarily get. Thatโs why I have individual meetings with them to get their ideas. It would make sense to at least talk to some of your players.โ
Obviously Whisenhunt is engaging Fitzgerald in this matter to prove to him that whoever the team decides to go with, one of their top priorities is to get Larry the ball better than the Cardinals quarterbacks did this season.
By the way, ย Fitzgerald reportedly mentioned that he’s interested in Kevin Kolb and Marc Bulger. SI’s Peter King also confirms the Cardinals interest in Bulger.
